Direct Payments, Support & Guidance
We offer help, support and guidance to someone assessed by the Local Authority (Social Services) as needing care and will have the funds via Direct Payments.
The support is for the account to run smoothly and liaise with service user/agent for information as and when needed, ie. changes to the package.
Records of the account are set up to enter weekly/monthly spend; add monthly invoice detail; monitor funds in/out are correct; reconcile the account and give feedback on possible over/underspend. Advice of monthly standing order amount of contribution – if applicable – which will need to be paid in to the account by the service use.
We will liaise with the Local Authority, Direct Payment Team – if the need arises and give service user/agent feedback.

Advice & Information
The Advice & Information project provides help and support in dealing with health, welfare and social services needs in Barnet, Enfield & Haringey.
We provide help and support for people with language difficulties, give free help and advice on the completion of official forms and documents and we liaise with local government services to ensure the needs and concerns of our users are shared.
All our services are available free and treated in the strictest confidence.
